PRE-ICSI SYSTEMATICALLY GRADED ASSESSMENT OF SPERM MOTILITY PREDICTS CLINICAL OUTCOMES IN SEVERE OLIGOSPERMIC AND AZOOSPERMIC MALES

چکیده

For males with severe oligospermia or those using sperm extracted from the epididymis testis identifying characteristics that are associated a successful live birth after IVF/ICSI would be valuable for patient counseling. A total of 243 ICSI cycles were performed epididymal (ES; n= 52), testicular (TS; n=64) men (OS; 127), having one million fewer per ml. Sperm assessments made prior to initiating oocyte stimulation. If counts too low count on Makler chamber, 5 μl aliquot was examined and average motile high powered field (hpf) counted. no observed in fields, entire ul drop screened sperm. In absence sperm, additional aliquots totaling 20 assessed. IVF cycle data retrospectively stratified into 4 groups by severity deficiency; Group I: 0.1 1 mill motile/ml, 2: ≥ sperm/hpf ,Group 3: sperm/ ul, 4: ≥1 / rare We further quality motility (A-D) within each group, where A=forward motility, B =distinct twitching movement place , C=slight sway, D=non-motile. Four used frozen ES TS Primary outcome measures percent fertilization, clinical pregnancy, implantation rates. Differences between compared chi-square test one-way ANOVA. P-values <0.5 considered statistically significant. Objective: To study the effects of Mesterolone alone and combination of Mesterolone and Clomiphene Citrate on semen parameters, pituitary axis and liver function in Idiopathic Oligospermic males. Materials and Methods: 30 males with Idiopathic Oligospermia (sperm count < 20-million/ml) between 20-45 years of age were included in the study. Of the 30 subjects, 10 were given tab Mesterolene 50 mg...

Sperm retrieval rates in subgroups of primary azoospermic males.

OBJECTIVES Men presenting with primary infertility and azoospermia may be offered surgical sperm retrieval (SSR) as a prelude to intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). We evaluated sperm retrieval rates in subgroups of men with azoospermia, based on obstructive aetiology, testicular volume and FSH. METHODS 106 patients with primary infertility underwent clinical evaluation and SSR with perc...

P-208: Analysis of H2BFWT Gene Alterations in Severe Oligospermic and Azoospermic Infertile Men Referred to Royan Institute

Background: Telomeres play a dramatic role in sperm pronuclei formation and subsequently successful fertilization. The H2B family, member W, testis specific (H2BFWT) gene encodes a testis specific histone that colocalized with telomeric sequences and interfere in the dynamic rearrangement of telomeres at late stages of spermatogenesis. H2BFWT is essential for transmission of the telomeric chrom...

An update on sperm retrieval techniques for azoospermic males

The use of non-ejaculated sperm coupled with intracytoplasmic sperm injection has become a globally established procedure for couples with azoospermic male partners who wish to have biological offspring. Surgical methods have been developed to retrieve spermatozoa from the epididymides and the testes of such patients. This article reviews the methods currently available for sperm acquisition in...
